TO WHOEVER WILL LISTEN
This is a petition created by the Indian Institute of Management, Billekhaly (IIMB) students(ref to as the VICTIMS) against the higher forces(ref to as the perpetrators), to bring to light , the human rights violation happening in the IIMB campus.
The ways of the Perpetrators are so subtle that sometimes even the VICTIMS are not aware of these violations. What makes the matter more worse is that these Perpetrators have made an unholy nexus with the Higher forces, which control the weather.
Any interrogation should provide victim with all the alternatives. The basic right is the option of not to answer. But the conduction of a torturous activity is in direct violation of this right. That the activity is termed Quiz just adds salt to injury. Where is the Quizmaster, the VICTIMS ask? Where are my lifelines, the VICTIMS demand? Where is my right to refuse to answer wihout causing harm to myself, is the wailing cry. But who listens? The Perpetrators to avoid answering these questions would be casually chatting around over cups of coffee in the heavenly Can-torture Clubbing Den (CCD).
This is not all.
Enjoying a cool, breezy day on a Saturday is a Fundamental Right enshrined upon all of us, particularly the student community(1). The Perpetrators collude with the Higher Weather controlling Gods to even take away this right. Is this too much to ask? For all of you in cushiony jobs, enjoying the comfort of a late Friday night movie, deciding to get up late on Saturday morning and even then not doing anything: Imagine how you would feel when not one but all of these are not allowed to you.
The Victims have had enough and they are raising their voics thru this petition. We make the following demands:
We implore to anyone and everyone out there, please listen. Someone, PLEASE HELP
(1) – This Fundamental Right is not present in the Constitution which is shown normally. But as you all know that thats a fraud consitution, The real constitution has been passed in the student commnunity from one batch to the next, and for which the standard reference is OOPS.

Mumbai burns. India comes to standstill. The world watches. What does one do get beyond this feeing of helplessness? Thats the feeling which remains in the end. Anger is the initial feeling, seething anger which then is metamorphosed into frustation. Then it gets converted to helplessness, a sense that nothing cant be done.How to solve this problem?
To solve a problem, the problem has to be known first. This blog will just try to explore to present just a definition of the problem.Nothing else. And I dont care a hoot about the world currently, its my India I care about. I will raise some uncomfortable questions and some hypothesis, so attack me if you want to.
The predominant question is : Why are all the terrorists Muslims? In India, we have, of late, started seeing what some groups call as Hindu Terrorism. I had already written a blog on the same (http://sksworld.wordpress.com/2008/10/05/food-for-thought/). But accordoing to me, its too recent a phenomenon to generate the same reaction as the real terrorism.
The refrains that are heard that Muslims have been oppressed for so long that this was bound to happen. But who oppresed them. Entire Middle East is one of the richest places of the world, no terror incidents there. So, what oppression are we talking about.
In my readings and explorations, I have heard may times that it all started from the time of Crusades by christians, way back. Thats when the seeds of distrust were sown , deep into the psyche.The question then comes: What caused the crusade?
I have the following theory. The reason is Islam itself, or more appropriately, how it is interpreted. Any religion loses its original meaning after some time. After a certain time after its inception, what matters is its interpretation.The interpretation of the text, what the texts are saying abt how u live ur life etc.
The best example in current case would be Islam’s approach to science and art. The Persian empire was founded on Islam. It spread its influence not only by the conquests but also by the science, art and architecture that it promoted. It was known far and wide for these things, besides trade. And aren’t these the very things that the current fanatics Ulemas cry against, which they abhor. What has changed?
Which brings us to the next question: What caused the expansion of the Persian empire ? Of course, having a big kingdom was the dreams of many a kings, but was something more subtle at play here. The kings first set up trade , promoted art ,brought the kingdom to a very stable and peaceful existence. Then , what next. Of course, spread the religion , coz thats what the Holy Quran says. Thats what the Ulemas would have you believe. That the God which has given you so much asks you to spread His religion. Thats what caused the crusade, because on the other side , Christians were doing the same thing.
And isn’t this very drive fuelling all the young terrorists of today? All the SIMIs, the young software professionals of today.
Another reason given is the lack of literacy amongst Muslims.And bloody hell, who is responsible for it? In India, we can say it has been the politicians that have done it for their interest of minority appeasement. What abt Pakistan and Afganistan? What minority Muslim population were the politicians there trying to appease.
Dont for a minute think that I am against Islam or Muslims. Some of my best friends are Muslim.Thats whats causing this outpour, because I know how good a general Muslim is.And how difficult is it becoming for other people to relate to that goodness.
When a religion is blinded by fanaticism, that overrides everything else. Then nothing else is important. Literacy, progress nothing. And dont tell me that God does not want anyone to have comforts. I cant believe that any God will say that “Hey son, I have given you brain.But Dont use it to live comfortably or to do progress.” He will say this though:”Have comforts. Dont be attached to them”. He wants to make you stong , not make you suffer.
The root cause of all problems, acc to me, is this then:”The interpretation of the Holy Quran that spreading the religion, even forcibly, to all corners of the world”. Thats whats blinding the judgement. If He would have wanted to have everyone as Muslims or Christians or Hindus, he would have born them so. After all, all religions agree on one thing: That HE is all powerful, HE can do anything.
The solution, organise a radical re-interpretation . The person is driven by mind. tThe mind, in most cases, knows its rights and wrongs from the interpretation of its religion.
God doesnt have a religion.

Any kind of love has one thing at its core: Surrender. We can add adjectives to classify it like surrender of ego, surrender of mind etc, but they will serve no purpose. A love , whether purely physical, mental or spiritual has to have surrender. Is all love that we come across in our life just meant to teach us this very simple thing. Because to transcend the self-imposed barriers, love for HIM needs to be inculcated. And Love for Him also doesnt come w/o surrender.
When surrender happens, what changes? We change. And we have seen this at work. We see this at work in all our relationships, bar none. The love sprouts out of this surrender. How many of us will not fall for someone who is ready to surrender for us, who changes for us, who is ready to let go his/her normal mental entrapments, definitions of personality ?
Then why do we find it so difficult to do it for HIM. The answers I seek.
